Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
